⚠️ Medical Emergency Notice Hotspan Meds is not a replacement for emergency medical services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.

Emergency Notice

HOTSPAN MEDS IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.
If you have a medical emergency, seek emergency medical care immediately in person or dial 911 or your local emergency number. Do not use this platform for emergency medical situations.

Telehealth Consent

By using Hotspan Meds, you consent to receive telehealth healthcare services. Telehealth involves the delivery of health care services using electronic communications — including asynchronous review of your health intake, messaging, and video consultations where available.

You understand and agree that:

  • Telehealth services are provided by independent, licensed healthcare providers who use the Hotspan Meds platform, not by Hotspan Meds itself
  • The electronic systems used incorporate network and software security protocols to protect the confidentiality of your health information
  • There are potential risks to telehealth, including technical failures, transmission errors, and the absence of physical examination, which may limit the provider's ability to assess your condition fully
  • You have the same rights to privacy as with in-person care
  • You may withdraw consent to telehealth services at any time by contacting support@meds.hotspan.com, though withdrawal will end your ability to receive services through the platform
  • Telehealth may not be appropriate for all conditions, and the provider may determine that an in-person evaluation is necessary
  • You must be physically located in a US state in which the prescribing provider is licensed when services are rendered

Expected Benefits of Telehealth

  • Improved access to specialized care without geographic limitations or wait times
  • Convenience of receiving care from home without time off work or travel
  • Access to physician-supervised compounded medication programs not available over the counter
  • Ongoing monitoring and support from licensed providers

Shipping Authorization

All prescription medications are dispensed according to state and federal law with the approval of the pharmacist in charge, in compliance with all laws applicable from the relevant Medical Boards and State Boards of Pharmacy.

By requesting shipping of prescription medications to your address, you:

  • Confirm that you are the patient named on the prescription
  • Confirm that you will use the medication only as directed by your prescribing provider
  • Acknowledge that medication is considered dispensed and the order completed when it is signed out for shipping, not when it is delivered
  • Disclaim and agree to hold harmless Hotspan Meds, LLC for any delays, errors, or losses during the shipping process once the package is in the carrier's possession
  • Confirm that you will store medications according to the instructions provided with your shipment

Compounded Medications

Many medications prescribed through Hotspan Meds are compounded medications prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies. You understand and acknowledge that:

  • Compounded medications are not individually FDA-approved drug products
  • Compounded medications are prepared in FDA-registered compounding pharmacies that follow Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) standards
  • Compounded medications may be bioequivalent to commercially available drugs but may differ in formulation, concentration, or delivery method
  • The compounding pharmacy and your prescribing provider have determined that the compounded formulation is appropriate for your specific clinical needs
  • You will use compounded medications only as prescribed and will not share them with others

Risks & Benefits

Your prescribing provider will discuss the specific risks and benefits of any medication or treatment program with you as part of the consultation process. General acknowledgments:

  • All medications carry potential risks and side effects, which vary by medication type, individual physiology, and adherence to protocol
  • You agree to review all patient information provided with your medication, including warnings and instructions
  • You agree to contact your provider or seek medical care immediately if you experience any adverse reactions
  • Medical results are not guaranteed and vary significantly between individuals
  • Some treatments require ongoing use to maintain results and may require periodic lab monitoring

Patient Responsibilities

By using Hotspan Meds, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date health information in all intake forms and communications
  • Inform your Hotspan Meds provider and all other healthcare providers of all medications, supplements, and treatments you are taking
  • Notify us promptly of any changes to your health status, new diagnoses, new medications, or adverse reactions
  • Follow your prescribed treatment protocol and not alter doses without physician direction
  • Maintain regular follow-up as recommended by your provider, including any required lab monitoring
  • Use prescription medications only for their intended purpose and only for yourself
  • Continue working with your primary care provider for comprehensive healthcare — Hotspan Meds does not replace your primary care relationship

Provider Relationship

Using Hotspan Meds creates a limited telehealth provider-patient relationship for the specific services you have enrolled in. This relationship is not a comprehensive primary care relationship. Your Hotspan Meds provider is available for matters related to your enrolled treatment program.

For all other medical needs — including new or unrelated symptoms, emergency care, preventive screenings, or chronic condition management outside your program — please consult your primary care physician or appropriate specialist.

Changes to Consent

We may update these consent terms from time to time as required by law, regulatory changes, or evolving clinical standards. Material changes will be communicated to your registered email address. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of updated consent terms.
